HARE ENDORSED BY ILLINOIS EDUCATION ASSOCIATION
JOINED BY TOP COGRESSWMAN ON HOUSE EDUCATION COMMITTEE FOR MEETING WITH LOCAL TEACHERS
Rock Island, IL.—Phil Hare, the Democratic candidate for Congress in the 17th District will be joined by Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) as he meets with local Illinois Education Association (IEA) members in Moline to discuss education issues. Woolsey is the top Democrat on the House Education Reform Subcommittee and will likely be its Chairwoman if the Democrats win a majority in the House on Nov. 7. The IEA has endorsed Hare's candidacy. Hare, Congresswoman Woolsey and local IEA (NEA) members (teachers) will discuss education priorities for our area in Congress. The meeting will be open to the press.
"I'm honored to have received the endorsement of the IEA, and I am looking forward to meeting with local teachers to discuss our community's education priorities," said Hare.
"I asked Congresswoman Woolsey to come to town because she is a national leader on education and may be in charge of the House Education Reform Subcommittee next year. I wanted teachers in our area to be able to speak directly with a leading policy maker about ways to help our teachers and our students."
